3 Home-Based Jobs To Keep You Busy During Lockdown
If you have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak and are going slightly stir-crazy while self-isolating, we know how you feel.
That’s why we decided to put together a few ideas to keep you entertained during your time stuck at home.
From sorting out your clothes out to washing your carpets, these ideas should kill at least a few hours of your time in lockdown.
1 – Clean Your House
It’s one of those jobs you always say you need to do but never get around to doing, so now’s the time to do it!
Depending on the current state of your home, the time it will take to clean your house from top to bottom will vary. However, it should leave you feeling incredibly satisfied once it’s been done.
Clean and hoover the carpets, give the surfaces a quick wipe down, and mop the kitchen floor. Then, treat yourself to a nice cup of tea and a biscuit for a job well done.
2 – Get Organised.
Cupboards and storage solutions become messy and disorganised as time goes on, so why not use your time in lockdown to tidy them up a bit?
Get rid of any junk you no longer use, untangle any annoying cables, and remove any of out-of-date food you’ve collected at the back of the kitchen cupboard over the years.
You’ll then have a lot more space and freedom to store other bits from around the home, giving it a bit of a refresh.
3 – Sort Your Wardrobe.
Going through your clothes can be an arduous yet highly satisfying task. If you, like many people, tend to hoard clothes over the months and years, now is the perfect time to separate the best from the rest and slim your wardrobe down.
Take each item of clothing individually and ask yourself each of these three questions: would I still wear it? Does it still fit me? And would I miss it if it was gone?
If you answer ‘no’ to each of these questions then get rid of it; grab a bin bag and donate it to a local charity.
